Ok, you’ve been through The Initial Launch Period, now it’s time to find your Alpha Creative. Let’s show you how to setup an Alpha Creative Sandbox, and start optimizing your creative to find the perfect message for your ads.

**When To Use ⏰

Only** use this video if:

  1. You’ve completed the process in the The Initial Launch Period.
  2. You have 1 or more clear winning creatives that are within KPI.
  3. You’re getting at least a 2X upfront cash ROAS on your ads.
  4. You’re getting at least a 5X ROAS when payment plans come in.

If you’re in that situation, I’d recommend first rewatching The Testing Process and then coming back to this video and following the process I’ll explain in this video.

If you’re NOT yet in this situation, go back to The Initial Launch Period and continue working on your funnel until you meet all 4 of the conditions above.

Creating Your Sandbox 🏝

In order to find our Alpha Creative, we’re going to spin up a “testing sandbox”.

This is a dedicated campaign for testing creatives that’s isolated and quarantined from your main campaign. The reason we do this is because we don’t want to screw up your winning campaign by introducing unproven variables into it.

So we’re going to test the new variables first, then we’re going to introduce proven elements only into your winning campaign.

So here’s the process we want to follow:

When copying your adset exactly, this means you want to target the same gender, same country, same age group and same audience, with the exact same settings. If you change something the data is now polluted and you’re not learning anything.

When creating your new hooks, you want to review Scripting YouTube Ads to get ideas for new hooks that you could use in your ads.

Then, you want to take your best-performing ad and then write 5x new hooks that could easily slot into the start of the ad, then record them and edit them into the start of the ad.

You should ONLY record the HOOK, you don’t need to reshoot the whole video.

When doing this, remember to DELETE the first few seconds of the old ad. We’re replacing the hook here, not just putting it over the top of the other ad. You want to write a hook that can replace the first few seconds of your existing ad, and still naturally fit in with the rest of the ad.

Analyzing & Optimizing ⚙️

From there, you want to use the exact same process outlined in The Initial Launch Period to manage this new campaign. Use the decision tree in that video to kill any ads that are out of KPI and keep ads running that are performing in KPI.

If an ad is performing in KPI after going through the entire process, ****you can then duplicate the ad into all of the ad groups in your main campaign. You can kill it in the sandbox if you like.

Then, wait until ALL of your winning ads in your core campaign have booked 10+ calls.

Then, you take your best-performing ad out of all of your live ads, duplicate the adset in your testing sandbox campaign, and test 3-5x different “body sections” of the ad (i.e. 3-5 different ways to explain your unique mechanism).

Then, you want to rinse & repeat the above process to find your Alpha Creative:

  1. Manage the adset using the process outlined in The Initial Launch Period.
  2. If an ad is in KPI after that process, duplicate it into all adsets in the main campaign.
