It’s time for the fun part. In this video, we’re going to talk about scripting your Facebook ads. I’m going to give you my 7-step ad script that made me $2.2MM in sales, so that you can copy & paste it into your business and profit quickly.

YouTube Scripts Training ✏️
The principles you need to script great Facebook ads are largely covered in the Scripting YouTube Ads—the principles are exactly the same as they’re largely timeless fundamentals.
I’m going to cut to that video immediately after I’ve been through this document.
Important → You want to use that video to understand the principles of copywriting and writing ad scripts. There are some differences on Facebook that we’re going to cover.
Script Length ⌛️
The one difference between YouTube and Facebook scripting is the ideal length of the ad (and therefore script). You want your Facebook ads to be around 120 seconds while YouTube ads should be about 2.5 to 3.5 minutes.
The reason the ideal length for Facebook is 120 seconds is because the ad will not serve on Instagram or Reels if it’s over 2 minutes long.
In terms of word count, look to write scripts that are about 200 to 250 words instead of ads that are 350 to 450 words. This should bring your ad close to 2 minutes in length.

Note → You can go over this and do 3-5 minute ads. I’ve also seen even longer ads work (10-15 minutes). So it’s fine to do this, and it still works, but you’re going to miss out on the IG feed and reels placements (and reduce performance on IG stories). So it will limit scale. I’d play around with these later—for now, just stick to <120 seconds.

Compliance 👮♂️
Compliance is slightly different on Facebook, so you can ignore the section on YouTube ads compliance—it won’t necessarily apply. We’ll cover Facebook compliance in the upcoming training that gives you specific Facebook script templates.
The Process ⚙️
You can also ignore the process used for scripting YouTube ads. We’ll be using a slightly different process for Facebook—so ignore the 6 steps provided for scripting.
