Not Spending 💰
First, here’s what to do if you campaigns refuse to spend completely.
This means you turned the campaign on and it never spent a single dollar in budget OR it’s spending like $1 a day or a tiny fraction of your daily budget.
- First, double check your campaign settings:
- Double check you have the right time period selected
- Double check the campaigns are actually enabled
- Double check the ad groups & ads are enabled
- Double check the ad groups & ads are approved
- Next, double check your audience sizes:
- Is your Custom Segment (Search) audience at least 750k people
- Is your Custom Segment (Websites) audience at least 750k people
- Is your Custom Segment (Interests) audience at least 750k people
- If your campaign is a TCPA campaign:
- Increase your bid daily until it starts spending
- Wait 24 hours after each increase then re-assess
- Start with 50% increases then do 100% increases
- If this doesn’t work, switch to Maximize Conversions
Stopped Spending 💰
If your campaigns were running smoothly before, but stopped spending out of the blue, then you want to follow the steps above and if they don’t work, duplicate your campaign.
Then, wait 24 hours to see what happens—it should start spending.
Summary ✍️
- Double check campaign settings to ensure everything is correctly configured.
- Verify audience sizes are at least 750k people each, otherwise they’re unlikely to deliver.
- For TCPA campaigns, use the process above to increase your bid until it starts spending.
- If campaigns stop spending after a while, duplicate them and wait for 24 hours.
