In this video, we’ll give you a script you can use for Facebook advertising specifically. This is a condensed version of the 7-step ad script that you saw in the YouTube ads scripting module that reduces the time of the script to <2 minutes. Let’s get into it.

Introduction 🎬

Our ad is the very first thing our prospect will see. It is the spear of our sales process.

Some people say that the goal of an ad is to “sell the click”.

This is partly true, but it doesn’t tell the full story. If you get the wrong person to click, or your ad is pure clickbait (e.g. “click here and win $1 million”), then the click won’t convert into a sale.

The reality is, not all clicks are made equal.

You could get a $0.20 click by saying ****“People of the world, click here and enter the draw for a free car” but this is not going to lead to a sale for your program.

So the goal is to get a qualified click that can turn into a sale. You want to get the right person to click on your ad and you want to begin the process of turning them into a buyer.

The Major Keys 🔑

You’ll remember from Creating Your Offer that in order to get a client, you need to have:

  1. A clearly defined person
  2. In extreme pain OR with an intense desire
  3. A new solution to the pain OR path to the desire
  4. Belief that the new solution or path will work

So, in our ad, we’re going to get to work on this formula.

Our entire ad will be focused around sucking that clearly defined person into our funnel, building the gap and creating belief that we can help them get what they want.

We’re going to do 4 things:

  1. Call out a specific person
  2. Promise them what they want
  3. Present a new way to get there
  4. Build belief that this new way works

Then, we’re going to ask the person to click the ad.

If there’s anything in your ad that doesn’t achieve this purpose, it’s pointless, unnecessary fluff and needs to be removed. I often see people waffling in their ads and not getting to the point.

You have a limited amount of time to persuade the person to click. Every word counts.

The only thing the prospect cares about is: “can this person get me what I want?”. So when you write your ads, really think to yourself, “what can I say to get this person to click?”.

Speaking To The Right Person 🗣

Firstly, when writing your hook (the first 3 seconds of your ad) you must get the attention of the right person. If your ad is seen by the wrong person, it’s never going to lead to a sale.

So, in your hook, you should either call out your target customer directly or indirectly.

Direct call out → State the characteristics of your target market

Indirect call out → State the problem or goal of your target market

You can call out your target market directly in the following ways:
